About Vuther

Vuther is a growing collection of free, browser-based tools for understanding and protecting your presence online: what your IP address reveals, whether an email has turned up in a breach, how to generate strong passwords, and how DNS, WHOIS and blacklists work. Each tool is paired with plain-language explanations so you learn as you go.

We favour tools that respect your privacy by design. Where possible, processing happens in your browser — the password generator, for example, never sends anything to a server. When a lookup needs an external service, we send only the minimum required and don't store your inputs. The site is fast, accessible, mobile-friendly, and hardened with modern security headers.

We aim to describe what each tool actually does — no overstated claims. IP geolocation is approximate; our email breach check searches known public breach datasets, not "the entire dark web." If something is an estimate or a limitation, we say so.
