// How these tools fit together

Vuther groups its tools into three areas, because the questions people bring to them tend to fall into three kinds. Network questions are about addresses and domains: what an IP reveals, who operates it, what a domain publishes, whether an address has been reported for abuse. Account questions are about credentials: whether an address has turned up in a breach, and how to make sure a leaked password is not reusable anywhere else. Privacy questions are about exposure: what your connection tells every site you visit, and what actually changes that.

Nothing here requires an account, and none of the tools are gated or throttled behind a paywall. Lookups you run are proxied through this site so that third-party services never see your browser directly, and the password generator never sends anything anywhere — it runs entirely on your device.

Each tool page includes an explanation of what the result means and where it is unreliable, because a number without context is easy to misread. IP geolocation in particular is routinely over-trusted: it identifies a network, not a person, and city-level results are wrong often enough that they should never be treated as evidence on their own.
